Metaphorical Epithets and Their Stylistic Functions

This article is devoted to the study of stylistic functions metaphorical epithets in a poetic text. Many works are metaphor, which apparently occupies main place among linguistic means expressing images. However, question still not fully clarified. One laws language development manifested metaphorization words, but meaning word only context, thanks movement into new lexical environment. According established scientific tradition, it customary distinguish between general-language and individual-author metaphorization, while (poetic) metaphors different: through first all, expansion achieved; text, metaphor gives condensed characteristic particular subject, often claiming penetrate its essence, aimed at revealing his individuality.
